Why do the 9/11 families hate America? (a sarcastic rant)

Recommended at My Left Wing

It's always nice to see people whose opinions are not solicited talk about how much the jurors screwed up by not sentencing Moussaoui to death. Or lunatic wingnut shills spewing the same bile.

And let's not forget all of the level headed members of the 101'st Fighting Keyboardists who you can see spew their views here, or here or here. Or the brainiacs at LGF who I am sure are looking at this from the clear-eyed view that they always do.

But the thing that sticks out in contrast to all this the most for me is the reaction of many of the family members of those who were killed on 9/11 (hat tip to the Rude One for pointing this out).

And I have followed how these family members - those people who were the most directly effected by the horrific events of that day (other than maybe our brave soldiers who were shipped off by a madman to invade a country that had no connection to 9/11) have acted with dignity and bravery throughout Moussaoui's trial, as well as all of the media exposure they have had - before and after testifying, as well as having the emptiness, raw feelings and emotions stirred up for the past 5 years as more and more information has come out about the exploitation of that day for personal and political gain by the worst regime that this country has ever seen and experienced.

And, as so eloquently put by the Rude Pundit, the clips that are being shown on TV only show half the story (no shock there). You bet that if the rest of their comments were aired, they would immediately be branded as "traitors", "terrorist sympathizers" or even worse, "bleeding heart ultra left wing liberals" by those brave souls who are fighting the war on terror from the comfort of their couches, computer desks or cushy TV studios.

Can't you hear it now - the knee jerk bile filled hatred being spewed against all those that don't kiss the feet of Dear Leader and his band of killers? Why does Carie Lemack hate America? After all, it was only her mother that was killed on American Flight 11. How dare she speak treasonous comments like the following:

This country needs to understand the real risks that we are facing. We can't even get our Congress people and our president to lock up nuclear material, even though terrorists, including Osama bin Laden, have said he wants to kill four million Americans. This country can't screen all of the cargo on the planes that we fly on, that I flew on here today to be here.

We have to look at the real problems in this country. If we're going to blame Zacarias Moussaoui, he's not the real problem. The real problem are the terrorists who do want to kill us, like Osama bin Laden, who is still not captured.

---snip---

So, thank you, and thank you to the jurors who worked so hard and to the attorneys who did the best they could with such a difficult client in such a difficult case for the prosecutors. But I think now the most important thing to understand is to know what happened on 9/11. And unfortunately, not all the evidence is out there.

The Transportation Security Administration is still keeping some of the aviation evidence secret. They won't let us know what happened on those planes. And we need to make sure that they finally let the truth be told so we know what happened, so that we can make sure it doesn't happen again.

But...but...but...how DARE she want to know what happened!!! How DARE she say that Dear Leader isn't doing the best job ever!!! She CLEARLY supports the terrorists.

Or Abraham Scott, whose wife was killed in the Pentagon on 9/11. Why does he too hate America? Doesn't he realize that we have to kill them all before they kill us all?

I know you expect me to come up here and say that I disagree with the verdict of the jurors, because I believe in the death penalty, but I'm not. I totally and wholeheartedly agree with what -- the decision of the jurors today.

We don't know what's in -- what transpired that day, or prior to 9/11, involving Moussaoui. Only Moussaoui knows and the lord knows. I do know that the jury made the right decision. Justice has been served today, in my opinion, for those individuals, those beautiful individuals, those 2,900-plus victims that were murdered on September 11th, as well as those that were directly and indirectly affected mentally and physically that morning on September 11th.

All I would like to say is that I would like to see others who were involved in the perpetration -- the perpetrator -- the perpetration on that incident of 9/11 be brought to justice. I would like to see those who are being held in jail in other countries be brought to justice here in the United States, as well as I'm hoping and praying that bin Laden and his right hand -- right hand individual will be brought to justice.

Jeez - might as well just send him an application to join Al Qaeda. How can he not lust for the blood of all those "dirty ragheads" that clearly want us to die. KILL!!! KILL!!! KILL!!! What a traitor he is too.

Or what about Monica Gabrielle whose husband died in the World Trade Center?

"I think it's a good decision. First of all, he had nothing to do with the events that occurred on 9/11. To offer the death penalty because he lied to the FBI - there'd be a lot of people on death row."

UNCONSCIONABLE!!! How can she even think that we shouldn't kill `em all? How ungrateful can someone be? I mean, here is someone that us `Murkins could have made an example out of by frying him (and why not put some bacon on his lap for good measure if he was strapped into "the chair"?) and these stupid lib'ruls just don't get it.

How about those treasonous parents, Maureen and Alexander Santora, whose son was one of the brave firefighters who was killed when the towers collapsed?

"I feel happy he will be spending the rest of his life surrounded by Americans, who he hates," Maureen Santora said of Moussaoui. "I think life (imprisonment) is worse. He won't be a martyr now. My hope is that he is forgotten, and that once this trial is over no one will remember his name."

DISGUSTING!!! How can so many of these people just not get it? I mean, their loved ones were killed and shouldn't they want to kill anyone and everyone associated with the attacks? Isn't that the `Murkin way?

How about Tina Fisher, whose brother was in the south tower when it collapsed, or Christie Coombs, whose husband was on American Flight 11?

"Today proves what America is all about, that we are a just society that is intent on making sure this never happens again," said Fisher, whose brother had seven children.

Coombs said the life sentence was "a sign that's it's all over," that families won't have to endure a death penalty appeal and extended legal proceedings.

"Whatever the verdict was, was not going to change my life at all," she said. "It wasn't going to bring my husband back. It wasn't going to make any of these people that died walk through their doors and make their families happy."

Ugh.....don't they GET IT???? BLOOD!!! BLOOD!! BLOOD!!!

Can't you just see it? Can't you hear it? Either you are for death or you are against `Murka.

And the 9/11 families, especially. Why, oh why do they hate America?

This is a great piece, you've only posted a few, but it's the start of something great. I'm glad you've started to show the 101st some real analysis skills, not just Ann Coulter syndication, after syndication... I was just interested to see if it's okay to link to you on my site?

if you get this message, please do link away.

I've been posting on daily kos for around 6-8 months and just decided recently to set up shop as well.

Have really been enjoying it and seem to be getting some good feedback - to me, the Ann Coulter style is just counterproductive so I try to put some meat on the bones.

Let me know if you link as I would be happy to link you back....
